Hyacinth Orchids are fairly common and usually grow in open forest.

Most species have no leaves but there are two that do.

The leafless species are parasitic, existing in a symbiotic relationship with a fungi and a host plant species.

They flower from November to March.each year, carrying their flowrs on tall stems.

The Hyacinth Orchid has no leaves and nothing to make chlorophyll.  It grows in open forest & woodland.
