Description: Dark Mosquito Orchids usually grow in colonies. Each plant has a heart shaped leaf just above ground level.
Distribution: Dark Mosquito Orchids can be found from Victoria to Queensland, usually below 800 metres. More common in the mountains than coastal areas.
Comments: So named because the flowers resemble moquitoes. Pollinated by tiny insects attracted to the nectar.
Sightings:
