There are more than 1300 different Orchid species in Australia.

Of these, almost 1100 are terrestrial & the rest epiphytes or lythophytes.

Many of the most beautiful are small & go almost unseen except to the keen observer & then only if they are flowering.

I have been lucky to have seen as many as I have.  I don't look for them but I'm always delighted to find them.
