Comments:

Even though a rough track leads through the cliffs, climbing Mystery Mountain is a challenge for all but the very fit.

The reward for taking the challenge is to see the magnificent panoramas up and down the Wolgan Valley from Newnes.

The complex structures eroded into the soft sandstone in the cliffs opposite can really only be appreciated from the rock platform at the summit.

Just why Mystery Mountain got its name is not exactly clear, perhaps a corruption of Misty Mountain.

An interesting array of native flora can be seen during the climb.
