The Blue Mountains National Park is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
Perhaps best known for the iconic Three Sisters or for the blue haze that often envelops the mountains, the park is home to a range of rare & beautiful plants & animals.
The stunning landscapes in the park were formed by erosion of the sandstone mountains. Now visitors can see rugged cliffs, explore deep gorges & canyons or just sit & take in the view.
There are lots of walking tracks along the edges of the park near the built up areas.
Experienced bushwallkers will find 'off track' walking in the remoter parts of the park to be very interesting & oftentimes, challenging.
